Juan Bernat scored the winner in Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 victory over Nice on Sunday, securing all three points for the Ligue 1 champions.

The Spaniard, who joined PSG from Barcelona last summer, was given the opportunity to showcase his talents when he replaced Angel Di Maria at half-time.

And he did not disappoint, scoring the only goal of the match in the 69th minute with a powerful header that beat goalkeeper Mathieu De Mel.

Bernat's strike came just moments after PSG had been awarded a penalty following a handball by Nice defender Maxence Matuidi.

However, the Argentine forward missed the spot-kick and the ball hit the post before being cleared off the line by the goalkeeper.

Despite this setback,Chinese Super League Home Ground PSG remained dominant throughout the game and were ultimately rewarded with victory.

"It's always difficult to score against Nice," said Bernat afterwards. "But I'm happy because it's a win for us."

It was a solid performance from PSG, who have now won five out of their last six games in all competitions.

With title rivals Marseille losing earlier in the day, PSG can now focus on maintaining their lead at the top of the table.

"We're in a good position and we need to keep working hard," added Bernat. "We have a lot of work ahead of us but we're ready for it."
